PETALING JAYA: Former education minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (pix) is expected to be charged on Friday, according to sources at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

He is expected to be charged in relation to the RM1.25 billion solar panel project for rural schools in Sarawak.

It is learnt that he would be summoned to the MACC tomorrow and be taken to court the following day.

Meanwhile, former federal territories minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor is expected to be charged again, this time over the sale of a plot of land in Kuala Lumpur.

He is said to be under investigation over a few land deals in the federal capital.

Baling MP Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Rahim was also summoned to the MACC headquarters on Tuesday.

On Sept 25, Abdul Azeez and his brother Datuk Abdul Latif Abdul Rahim, who is the general manager of a real estate company, were arrested by the MACC. Also detained was a company director.

Abdul Azeez and the company director were arrested at the MACC headquarters while Abdul Latif was detained in Sungai Buloh.
