PKR: Party has representation in all 220 constituencies nationwide

PETALING JAYA: Following the recent formation of Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s (Keadilan) latest branch in Mersing in August, the party now has representation in all 220 constituencies with another two being setup in Sarawak by December.

According to it’s Perak party chief, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal, this shows that Keadilan is clearly not a “one-man-party” but “a party for all”.

“I say this because the party continued to grow even though our president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was away in prison.

“The other leaders continued to set the trend for the grooming and development of future youth leaders,“ he told theSun.

Farhash, who is also Anwar’s political secretary, said even before Undi 18 was introduced, Keadilan was already shaping future leaders.

“We have always ensured fair and healthy party elections. We do not want to have young, inexperienced leaders making baseless, stupid statements,“ he said.

He said Mersing was their latest branch and with this, Keadilan will soon be well represented in all constituencies.

“We now have representatives in nearly all constituencies. We want to ensure we reach out to everyone and are well prepared to face the next general election,“ he added.

He said Anwar first entered politics at the age of 22, while party deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali had begun serving as Anwar’s assistant at age 23.
