PETALING JAYA: All economic sectors in the Klang Valley should be allowed to reopen after 96.7% of its adult residents have received at least one vaccination dose.

MCA Selangor said the government should also review and draft standard operating procedures (SOP) for the different types of business industries.

“The long and arduous lockdown has pushed many businesses to the brink, while some smaller enterprises having even collapsed,” its State Liaison Chairman Datuk Ng Chok Sin(pix) said in a statement today.

“If the situation is dragged on, many more will end up with the same fate and render economic revival even more difficult.”

With clear and concise SOP paired with proper enforcement, businesses can be up and running again at the lowest risk, Ng said.

“When the time comes for sectors to reopen, all Malaysians should remain vigilant in following the SOP. If everyone plays their role and make a conscious effort in Covid-19 prevention, we can surely make it out of this together,” he added.
