SHAH ALAM: A Bangladeshi construction worker was killed after the scaffolding at the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) construction site in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang collapsed today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said they received a call about the incident at 2.41pm and arrived at the scene 17 minutes later.
He said the victim was successfully recovered from the rubble at 4.20 pm.
Besides that, three Bangladeshi men and an Indonesian man in their 30s also suffered minor injuries.
According to Norazam, firefighters from the Klang and Shah Alam fire and rescue stations were involved in the rescue operation.
“The Andalas Fire and Rescue station chief, state operations deputy director and officers from the state operations division are now at the location,” he said in a statement today. — Bernama
