NURUL Izzah’s departure from the forefront in politics is hardly a storm. By her resignation, she is showing disagreement or inability to accept developments.

It is normal and desirable that persons in that position relinquish their roles. As a famous face of Reformasi, her resignation taints that reformation image. By being cryptic about her reasons, she forsakes the transparency she apparently championed.

Despite all that, her withdrawal only taints her own party as one that has hidden demons and intrigues.

More so after the very untidy elections her party held recently to display their disunity.

Certainly, the perception is that it calls into question her own, her dad’s and her party’s ability to govern. Again!
