THE economic damage inflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in some families not having food on the table, more so after the movement control order (MCO) left many odd job workers deprived of income.
This situation has, however, allowed the spirit of humanity to shine bright as illustrated in the actions of residents of a village in Penampang, Sabah, who are offering free vegetables and fruits to the public as a way towards ensuring no one starves.
The vegetables and fruits were placed outside of their homes where anyone in need can just take them.
It is truly a blessing to live in such a charitable society especially during these difficult times.
