Ravens RBs Ingram, Dobbins test positive for virus

The Baltimore Ravens reopened their team facility on Monday following positive COVID-19 tests involving running backs Mark Ingram and rookie J.K. Dobbins, coach John Harbaugh announced.

Harbaugh also said that defensive tackle Brandon Williams was deemed a close contact. The team later announced that the three players were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Harbaugh said the team is holding virtual meetings for the rest of Monday.

The Ravens learned of the positive tests late Sunday night, necessitating the shutdown of their facility during contact tracing.

Gus Edwards is the only other running back on the roster with at least one carry this season. He has rushed 85 times for 376 yards with three touchdowns.

Justice Hill is expected to serve as the backup for the Ravens (6-4), who have a short week of practice following Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans. Baltimore is scheduled to face the unbeaten Steelers (10-0) in Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving night.

"I think our players did a great job on the sideline with the masks. Great job in the locker room," Harbaugh said Monday. "They tried to follow the protocols throughout the game and throughout the weekend at the hotel and in the meetings during the week. Our guys have done a good job of that, so I'm appreciative of them for that.

"That's probably the thing that gives us a chance to play this game on Thursday night is the guys doing a great job here in the building and at the game."

The Ravens also announced that they had designated guard Tyre Phillips for return from injured reserve and signed tight end Eric Tomlinson to the practice squad.
