Eversendai’s units abroad bag jobs worth RM321m

PETALING JAYA: Steel structure player Eversendai Corp Bhd’s group of companies in Singapore, Qatar and India have bagged a total of RM321 million new contracts.

The new win consists of a 26-storey commercial building project in Singapore and an army base camp project in Qatar, the group said in a statement.

In India, the group said it bagged a 49-storey tower plus another 41-storey commercial tower and a railway bridge project.

Year-to-date, the group has secured new jobs worth a total of RM1.44 billion while its outstanding construction order book stands at RM2.43 billion.

“We are pleased to note that the market environment in the regions we operate remain positive as they continue to roll out commercial, residential and infrastructure projects progressively,” the group’s executive chairman and managing director Tan Sri A K Nathan said.

“We are also constantly reviewing and implementing strategic plans to improvise within, while consolidating our effort to ensure we achieve our goals,” he added.

Recently, in India, Eversendai completed the construction of the world’s tallest statue known as ‘Statue of Unity’, a highly complex world landmark structure with a height of 182m.
