PETALING JAYA: Scomi Energy Services Bhd (SESB) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hong Kong-listed Anton Oilfield Services (Group) Ltd, as part of its planned expansion into China by introducing green products for drilling services.
Under the MoU, Anton will promote and market SESB’s next generation “green” base oil products and environmental friendly solutions in China.
SESB CEO Hilmy Zaini said the memorandum is in line with its continuing strategy for market expansion, following its successful market entry into Kuwait last year.
He said SESB has expanded significant efforts into the research and development of commercially viable environmental friendly products for drilling activities.
The group highlighted that China is one of the key markets targeted for its business expansion.
As at December 2019, SESB has an order book of US$272 million (RM1.12 billion).
