Myvi avoids paying toll by slipping by boom gate in Selayang

A video capturing a Perodua Myvi passing through a toll booth without paying has gone viral after it was posted two days ago on Facebook.

Based on the 21-second dashcam video, the incident is believed to have occurred in the Pasar Borong Selayang’s parking bay.

The video first starts off with a Proton Iswara at the exit paying for parking.

Suddenly, a Perodua Myvi which could be seen in the video sneakily waiting from the side, goes ahead of the Iswara, and waits for the exit barrier to lift before speeding off.

This left the Proton Iswara driver, who had just paid the parking fee, helplessly stranded in front of the boom gate.

The video shows the Myvi driver’s willingness to risk a possible accident just to save such a meager amount.

Many Facebook users jumped into the comment section to comment about the ‘incredible’ feat pulled off by the Myvi.

“You’re able to drive a car but unable to pay the parking. You’re better off selling the car and using the money to take an e-hailing ride.”

While others critiqued the way the management designed the boom gate to be quite a distance from the scanner, which made the escape attempt possible.
