KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here today sentenced three friends to four years’ jail and a stroke of the cane each for robbing an architect at knife-point.
Judge Emilia Kaswati Mohamad Khalid handed down the sentence on food rider Zikry Haziq Danial Zainal Abidin, 21; unemployed Muhamad Firdaus Mohd Zulkefli, 23, and delivery man Muhammad Syamil Zaqim Sazali, 20, after they pleaded guilty to the charge.
The three of them were ordered to serve the jail sentence from last Jan 8, the day they were arrested.
They were charged with committing gang-robbery when armed with a knife and wooden stick on Amir Syauqie Ahmad Khairuddin, 28, on the first floor of Suria Setapak building, Jalan Gombak here at 1.30 pm last Dec 3.
In mitigation the three of them, all unrepresented, said they are supporting their respective family and mother.
