KUALA LUMPUR: Police are offering a 50% discount on traffic summonses for fine payments made online between Wednesday and Sunday.
Federal police traffic investigations and enforcement department director DCP Datuk Azisman Alias said today that the fine settlement via the e-payment campaign was offered in conjunction with the 213th Police Day commemoration.
“The campaign is intended to encourage the public to make online payments following the closure of all summons payment counters nationwide since March 18. It is also a way for us to encourage the public to adhere to the movement control order (MCO) currently being enforced in the country,“ he said.
Azisman said to lighten the financial burden the public is currently undergoing, police will offer the discount on summonses issued for certain offences.
He said the e-payments can be made on two portals - www.myeg.com.my and www.rilek.com.my.
