PETALING JAYA: Prime minister-in-waiting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tells parties that have been pushing for him to assume the premiership to stop doing so.
The PKR president urged all parties to respect the consensus which was agreed within the coalition on Jan 18, 2018.
In a statement today, the PKR President said he has promised to support Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in steering the country towards strengthening the economy.
“Pakatan Harapan and Tun Dr Mahathir have reiterated their commitment numerous times, that is to ensure the success of the transition of power as agreed.
“So, it is fair that we respect the decision for it to happen in a peaceful and orderly manner,“ he said.
