KUALA LUMPUR: The police are investigating the spread of a confidential document through the WhatsApp messaging application.
PDRM Corporate Communications Head Datuk Asmawati Ahmad said the case is now being investigated under Section 203A (1) and Section 203A (2) of the Penal Code.
“Police found that an official confidential document had been shared and spread through the WhatsApp messaging application by certain parties.
“Any party who are in possession of classified information received from any party must not share or spread them,” she said in a statement here today.
Asmawati also urged those with information on the case to come forward to help identify the source of the leak.
