PETALING JAYA: The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) has now set up a 24-hour hotline to voice out concerns where Islam is being subject to insults or mockery.

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said in a speech on Thursday that the Prime Minister’s Department of Religious Affairs has consistently worked to preserve the sanctity of Islam.

“Whoever is found involved in insulting Islam has to be brought to the face of justice as a lesson to others,” he said.
