PUTRAJAYA: The inaugural ‘’Karnival Rahmah 2019’’ (KR19) has achieved its objective in introducing the concept of ‘’Negara Rahmah’’ and ‘’Rahmatan lil Alamin’’ (Mercy to all creations) in the Malaysian context.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof said the edutainment concept brought into KR19 had successfully drew the attention of Malaysians from various races and religions who were given the exposure about the ideas of Islamic administration introduced by the government.

He said the attendance of over 100,000 crowds including non-Muslims demonstrated that the concept of Negara Rahmah was now gaining acceptance among the multi-racial people in the country.

“KR19 is the biggest carnival ever held by Pakatan Harapan which administering the country based on (the concept of) Negara Rahmah.

“Through KR19, we explain to the people about the desire of the new government, especially in the aspect of Islamic administration, with the Rahmatan Lil Alamin concept as its core element,“ he told reporters at the closing of the carnival here today.

Also present were Malaysian Islamic Development Department director general Datuk Mohamad Nordin Ibrahim and Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department director Mohd Ajib Ismail.

Based on the positive response received, Mujahid did not rule out the possibility that the carnival would be an annual event and be held at the state-level. — Bernama
