JOHOR BAHRU: Police are on the lookout for a 24-year-old man for allegedly peeping at his female neighbour while she was taking a shower in Taman Setia Indah here, on Tuesday.
Johor Bahru Selatan police chief ACP Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said the victim, aged 23, had lodged a police report at 2.26 pm after noticing that she was being peeped at through her bathroom window at about 7.15am.
“She noticed movements outside the bathroom window which was slightly opened. She also claimed that this was the second such incident after moving into the rented house two months ago,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Mohd Padzli added that the victim suspected the culprit to be her neighbour, adding that she also made a video recording of the suspect’s movement using her mobile phone but the visual was blurry.
The case is investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for gestures intended to insult the modesty of a person.-Bernama
