PETALING JAYA: Menara City One along Jalan Munshi Abdullah, Kuala Lumpur became the third area to be placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pix) announced today.
The senior minister said the decision was made after 17 people there tested positive for Covid-19, with the order to take effect beginning tomorrow (March 31) until April 13.
“Taking into consideration the number of cases, the government, on the advice of the Health Ministry, decided to enforce its third EMCO.
“The order will affect 3,200 residents in 502 condominium units and business premises in the tower,” he said in a statement.
Ismail said the EMCO was necessary to ensure the Covid-19 virus could be contained and that this would allow authorities to track down cases from unit to unit during the 14-day period.
