BANTING: The Magistrate’s Court here today set May 28 as the new date for the re-mention of the case of a part-time female model, who allegedly murdered her boyfriend in a residential unit in Rimbayu Perennia, Telok Panglima Garang, last month.

Magistrate Maslinda Selamat set the date to enable the prosecution to submit the toxicology report, post-mortem and chemical report.

Earlier, deputy public prosecutor, Khadijah Amir Hamdzah, informed the court that the reports were yet to be prepared, and requested a new date to submit the documents.

Lawyers Vitiya Monisha Paranthaman and Aniesha De Silva, who represent the accused, A. Tamilselvi, also informed that the defence has several medical reports of his client, to submit to the court, but has yet to receive a response from the hospital.

“The accused has also received a consultation for her health issues, and will receive treatment in prison,” said Vitiya Monisha.

On March 22, Tamilselvi, 26, was charged with the murder of her boyfriend, V. Gawsigan, 26, at a Rimbayu Perennia residential unit, Jalan Flora 3D/6, in Telok Panglima Garang, Kuala Langat at 5.30 am, March 11.

The former medical student was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which provides for the death penalty, if convicted.
