PORT DICKSON: Three men were killed in a three-vehicle accident in Jalan Bukit Tebu, Pasir Panjang, Teluk Kemang, here yesterday.

Teluk Kemang Fire and Rescue Station chief Kamal Mohd Timar said the incident took place at 4.14 pm involving a factory bus, a motorcycle and a car.

‘’The dead were the motorcyclist, his pillion rider and the driver of the car. Firemen took 10 minutes to extricate the driver of the car from the driving seat,’’ he told Bernama here today.

Meanwhile, Port Dickson District police chief, Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said the dead were motorcyclist R. Sarawanan, 29, and pillion rider Norazli Kassim, 37, and car driver, R. Piravin, 25.

He said their bodies were sent to the Port Dickson Hospital for a post-mortem.

He said the bus driver Kamaruddin Jaafar, 53, and two passengers were hurt and were also sent to the Port Dickson Hospital.

‘’The motorcycle which was heading to Teluk Kemang from Pasir Panjang was believed to have gone out of control at the curve in the road and was hit by a car from behind driven by Piravin.

‘’The car then collided with a bus with four factory workers on board coming from the opposite direction,’’ he said in a statement here yesterday. — Bernama
