MEN who seek for clothing pieces that are practical yet eye-catching need not look any further, as Spanish fashion house Loewe recently launched a menswear collection, Eye/Loewe/Nature Spring/Summer 2020, inspired by the bright colourful lights in the city of Tokyo and the mesmerising nature of Japan.

Loewe ventures into a more sustainable method of production by using organic and recycled materials. On top of that, the brand will be donating €15 (RM68) for each item sold to help out environmental causes.

For this collection, some pieces are incorporated with the ‘Eye’ logo, designed by M/M (Paris). The collection incorporates practical pieces such as pullover parkas, workwear jackets, polo shirts, printed organic cotton tees, along with accessories such as lace up boots, caps, and backpacks.

Shades such as electric blue, bold orange, and dark violet also make this an eccentric collection.

The campaign photographs were shot by Gray Sorrenti and the menswear collection pieces were modelled by British actor Josh O’Connor.

The photography session was set in Japan’s Fuji-Hakone Izu National Park, izakayas and ryokans situated in the city, Lake Aishi, and the iconic Mount Fuji.

According to Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson, the collection represents a Loewe man. He explained: “He is kind of day-to-day, but at the same time wants to experiment.

“In a weird way there is a conservatism to him, but there is an eccentricity inside.”
