Runaway maids aren’t unheard of in Malaysia. Recently, Malaysian actress Emma Maembong was shocked when her maid had run away from her home.
She took to Instagram to ask the public for help in locating the maid. This is because the maid took the access card and keys too.
“She took the access card, keys, and said that she was going to throw the rubbish. After that, she disappeared and never returned home,” she wrote on Instagram.
To add salt to the wound, they couldn’t contact the maid because the maid has blocked all of their numbers.
Apparently, the maid left the actress’s four-month-old son Shariq Gabirel Muhammad Shazli alone in the living room for 30 minutes.
Maembong cautioned the public not to fully trust maids because they can just ‘pretend’ to be nice to their bosses.
The public commenting on her post were concerned about the maid’s whereabouts and felt thankful that Maembong’s son was not kidnapped too.
