ANDY’S joint pains have been staying on longer and longer. This started about a year ago after his badminton games. Initially, the 52-year old banker would manage to recover within a day. Over time, the joint pain in his right knee lingered on even when he stopped exercising. Andy has tried taking some joint supplements to help. Although glucosamine helped for a while, the joint pain eventually took control.

Andy is likely to have degenerative joint pain, the most common cause of joint pain afflicting about 30% of the world’s population aged between 45 and 65 years old. Osteoarthritis (OA) is the medical term to describe this degenerative joint disease whose main symptoms is joint pain. According to Arthritis Research UK 2017, three out of four patients with arthritis suffer from joint pain on most days. This sort of joint pain does not self-resolve but instead intensifies over time.

It is no surprise that many would resort to painkiller medications, commonly the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) just to derive some fast relief. Unknown to most people, patients who take NSAIDs have been found to require joint replacement surgery earlier and more frequently compared to patients who do not use them.

A recent clinical study published in the journal Trial in 2016 is now giving renewed hope to long-suffering joint pain patients. In this study, a herbal joint formula known as Lanconone was found to relieve joint pain as quickly and effectively as painkiller medications while also helping to aid joint repair when taken for at least three months.

Lanconone is a proprietary botanical compound made up of seven authenticated Ayurvedic herbs, namely Commiphora mukul (Indian bdellium-tree), Boswellia serrata (Indian olibanum), Withania somnifera (Indian ginseng), Oroxylum indicum (Indian trumpet tree), Smilax china (China root), Pluchea lanceolata (Rasna) and Zingiber officinale (ginger).

Andy came across Lanconone while browsing online and he managed to purchase it through a pharmacy in Bangsar Baru. He took two capsules two times a day.

Within a few days, Andy noticed that his knee no longer felt so stiff and tight. He soon found that the nagging ache had lessened considerably.
